Commissions

Tim offers a bespoke service to create unique objects. Tim enjoys working closely with clients through the commissioning process to understand their requirements and expectations, placing a high value on the dialogue between maker and client.

Commissioning Process

The process begins with a conversation, either in person or by phone to understand your requirements, any specific ideas you have and the location or context for the work that is to be produced. At this stage an understanding of the budget is developed and following this initial conversation, Tim will develop a design brief for you to consider.

Following the initial conversation and an agreement of a design brief, Tim will develop up to three design options accompanied with estimated costs for each option. At this stage a visit to the location to understand where the piece will be situated can be undertaken.

Once you are happy to proceed with a design, a10% deposit is taken, and the chosen design is taken forward for making.

Upon completion, the work is usually delivered in person by Tim to the chosen location.
